Congratulations
to Natalie Merchant who released her new album 'Leave Your
Sleep' on April 13th, 2010 (Nonesuch Records). The album was
mixed at the Magic Shop by owner Steve Rosenthal
and engineer Eli Walker with Brian Thorn and Kabir Hermon assisting.

Early
this year, the Magic Shop welcomed Blonde Redhead who tracked
for their upcoming album. Drew Brown engineered with Brian
Thorn and Kabir Hermon assisting.
In
January, Serena Jean tracked and mixed her album 'Town and
Country' with producer Jimi zhivago. Brian Thorn engineered
and Kabir Hermon assisted. Jessica Thompson mastered the album.
From
January through March, the Gaslight Anthem were here tracking
their new album with producer Ted Hutt and engineer Ryan Maul.
Ted Young assisted the session. The band's new album, 'American
Slang' is due to be released on June 15th 2010 on SideOneDummy
Records.
Margaret
Cho tracked in the studio with her band, the Cliks. Ted Young
engineered and Kabir Hermon assisted.
This
Spring, singer-songwriter Chris Riffle's self-released album
'Introducing Chris Riffle' produced by Jimi zhivago. It was
mixed by Brian Thorn and Steve Rosenthal. Kabir Hermon assisted

During
March, Brian Laye mixed his album 'Unstable' with producer
Joe Taylor. Kabir Hermon engineered the studio tracking with
Ed McEntee assisting. Brian Thorn engineered the mix.
In
April, Favourite Sons mixed their upcoming album with engineer
T.J. Doherty. Ted Young assisted.
During April,
Cobra Starship tracked and mixed for
an iTunes exclusive. Ted Young engineered
with Kabir Hermon assisting.

to mastering engineer Jessica Thompson and her husband Mike
on their newest addition, Clyde Carter Thompson.
Warren Russell-Smith has continued his mixing on our new Neve 5088 console.
He has been working on a wide range of artists from the Newport Jazz
and Folk festivals of 1960, 1968, and 1969.
